Karekare Falls

Make your way to Karekare Falls on Lone Kauri Rd, just up the road from the carpark for the beach (you can walk from there to the falls). From the road, walk down the signposted path. Before you get to the falls, notice an enormous boulder covered in epiphytes to your right. Step down to the boulder then immediately turn around and inspect the nook in the rocky step you just stepped over. Once you've stamped in, make your way down to the falls. They're truly spectacular. This can be a busy spot so use discretion when finding and rehiding the box.

There is lots to do at Karekare especially if you like walking as there are lots of tracks and fantastic scenary. Karekare Beach can be wild and dangerous. Please take head of all safety notices.
